Structive™ is an innovative housing initiative developed by deZignsite NZ Limited, a New Zealand company committed to rethinking how we design, construct and live in our homes.

The project began with a straightforward observation: housing needs to respond more effectively to the changing circumstances of people, families and communities.

From that starting point, Structive has evolved into an integrated approach to housing, bringing together structural design, thermal performance, accessibility, adaptability and whole-of-life affordability.

Our ambition is not simply to produce another modular building system. It is to help create better homes that remain useful, comfortable and affordable throughout people’s lives.

The thinking behind Structive

Developed by Nigel Young, Structive reflects a longstanding interest in design, innovation and practical solutions to the challenges facing New Zealand.

The project draws on relationships and collaboration across engineering, architecture, building materials, manufacturing and housing development.

Structive remains a developing system. Its design, performance and commercial objectives are being progressively refined through technical evaluation and engagement with potential partners.

We believe better housing begins with better questions — and succeeds through collaboration.
